Perpignan - France, Languedoc-Roussillon The little castle was erected with bricks in the XIV century. This part of France (Rosellón) belonged to Spain until the XVII century, when it was ceded to France. That is why you can see in the picture the flag of the Crown of Aragon (which has being copied by the Spanish regions which in the past belonged to Aragon, such as Valencia, Cataluña and Balearic islands).
