information about peru  ChivayPeru, Arequipa
The condors usually come in the morning to cruise in the thermals rising from the Canyon Colca. The spot at the canyon, called Cruz del Condor, a few miles from Chivay village, is the only spot on Earth easily accessible by tourists, when the condors can be viewed on a regular basis. The Andean Condor is on a verge of extinction. It is world's largest flying bird - the title contested by the Albatross.
