Saint Laurent - French Guiana, French Guiana These pirogues are one of the two means to cross the Maroni river between French Guiana and Suriname. In 2011, they were perfectly legal and cost EUR5 to cross. It was easy to get one, and it was quick before there were enough people in it for it to depart.
