This is a wonderful hotel right at the lake, where they created a 'solarium' - a wooden beach. They offer kayaks and small boats for lake trips. The hotel is split in two. The old Auberge building, the main hotel, and the new Villa right at the lake with large terraces and balconies overlooking the Alps and the Lake Como. The rooms at the villa are beautifully decorated and the beds are massive and super comfy. Rooms at the main hotel are also nicely decorated but have lesser views. The adjacent restaurant is unbelievable - amongst the best in Lombardia. But the hotel's main quality is the family that runs it. They are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, attentive and helpful. Single room at the Auberge was €45, including magnificent breakfast with everything you might want, and they make superb coffees.
