Prague - Czech Republic, Hlavni Mesto Praha This late 19th-century neo-renaissance building was built by the Czech architect Antonín Wiehl and is situated at the corner of Skořepka and Jilska Street. Max Brod lived for some time on the third floor. He was a close friend of Franz Kafka and saved the major part of Kafka's work by not executing the latter's will which said that his manuscripts should be burnt after his death. Today Restaurant Skořepka occupies part of the building. A restaurant that specializes in Czeck cuisine.
