Mandrem - India Mandrem (Goa) beach is separated from the main road by a creek crossed by several rickety bamboo bridges. The beach and Indian Ocean is behind me.

Marianne, great shot... no one crosses this bridge, do they? It looks like it has fallen into the water!

Marianne, how picturesque! The colors are so vivid but I think that was a bridge. Bridge interrupted! Very nice shot!

Jill and Zellah, You are right the right bridge is no longer used the left one still is. It was the shortest way to reach a hotel, which was in fact a number of shacks and bore the slightly misleading name of: Dunes Holiday Village. There were dunes, that bit was correct.

I like this picture. It shows that travelling can be surprising, f.example no bridge :))

To be fair, it doesn't seem like either of the bridges should be used. Was it just as much of an adventure crossing the newer one?

Amanda, the newer bridge was unstable, to say the least. I don't like wobbly bridges and walked on for a mile or so to cross via a dam acros the creek, safer in my opinion.
