New destination

Posted: 2006-12-29 02:03 PM
David,
I am frustrated. I wanted to upload some Syria photos, but most of the places were not listed. I know how to suggest a new destination and in doing it was successful. But ... Spelling became difficult until I learned that the spelling used in the country to which this place belongs is demanded. O.k. But ... how shall I know the province, when the maps you can buy in the country doesn't show? So I guessed. Andi will love me. But ... there are places which are neither city nor park nor lake nor... That put me in the ditch. Conclusion: If you want photos from Syria or Kyrgyzstan than tell me what to do. Pleaeaease.

Your comment on my photo of Mar Thekla

Posted: 2006-12-29 10:34 AM
David,
Mar Thekla is one of those places where you forget the time. And Ma'lula, pink and ocker coloured, is a wonderful place with clean air, friendly people who still speak the language of Christ. In the moment it seems that it isn't a good time to go to Syria, but it is worth a trip.

This was a nice journey to villa Tivoli, I'd almost forgottenthat we went there when we were in Rome and surroundings (but this was quite some time ago)

Hi David,
I am really glad that you enjoyed my report on Las Alpujarras - it is a magical part of the world.
I didn't realise that Chris Stewart had released a third book. I have looked for it here but I don't think it has hit our shores as yet but I will await it with eager anticipation!
Cheers,
Kerrie

David,

I really appreciate the compliment. I do enjoy writing reports but it does take a lot of effort.

I also second Rudi's acknowledgment, 2m click is really great; your site is a really asset to Globo.

All the best

Congratulations David,
You have now brought webusers to click on your contributions more than 2,000,000 times at GLOBOsapiens! This comes certainly from your well written reports and comments for which Google finds no other better source? I hope reach my first million only around mid-January.
R'Rudi
