I was in Turkey a few years ago and in time I will write about it. I'm sure it has changed a lot since I was there.

The first time was 2 weeks before the revolution!!!

That was a great trip. I enjoyed your photos. kara deniz looks very blue in your photos, so I suppose you had good weather. Sumela is truly wonderful. Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos

Yep - I am off to india in 10 days! I just got back from back packing for several days so I am still a bit sore, but so looking forward to the trip!

Hi Burak,
Sorry that I have been missing - it has been very busy here at work. We have several construction projects going.

I have another 75 days (not that I am counting) before we leave for India. The more I read, the more I look forward to this trip. I so enjoy other cultures and faiths and India offers several of each. My daughter is the healthiest she has been in 3 years which makes the trip even more of a celebration!

I hope you are well. I keep thinking - you would have been just miles from my house driving up Highway 101 to San Francisco. Too bad we did not have the opportunity to meet!

Burak,
So good of you to post this photo in which the lamps, wires and the letters are visible. I have never beenin Turkey during ramadam so I have never seen this. I read your invitation on top of your guestbook. Next time I am in istanbul I would love to drink coffee with you. Although I prefer a tulipshaped glass of tea.
By the way flights from Eindhoven to istambul (the new airport) are very cheap. They start at €19 one way.
