hi Burak,
when i saw your Basilica Cistern's pictures.....my first reaction was....'ah, i have almost same picture...lets see who is better....:-)'
but i will give you some time, i don't want to enter into competition with u :-)
my best regards for you, komsi
Thank you for your link.
I did a search on globo and found a huge load of pictures on the web, yours truly is among the best
Point of perspective I probably would like this one better:

But it's not level!
Or this one

but I prefer your colors...
This one probably is the best I found :-)

or perhaps this one if you like it in landscape format

Happy New Year to you too.
Thanks for your good wish about number 1 but, to be honest, I'm not bothered either way. I'm quite happy to have Brit up there ahead of me.
I don't in the least mind if V-K soars back past me , when she has time for some more of those lovely detailed photos and I notice some regular writers who are only behind me because I've more time, being retired, where I'm sure my lead is only temporary.
What matters is that we should continue getting the excellent contributions from a number of people, including yourself, that have been coming in recently.
Cheers
David

Burak
Thank you very much for these thoughts.
Would you add them to the forum discussion? I think it would be very useful to do this and could bring a reconciliation all round
hugh

Burak
i like your balanced thoughts in the forum. because i lived close to the troubles in Northern Ireland i see the points you make.
I hope that other people who have some power to influence events will slow down and consider the validity of your contrbution.
There is a dichotomy between the use of the word mierde and criticism of "vitriolic" contributions by others.
There is a dichotomy between help in road maps and invasion that is not sanctioned
