Hi Jorge
Thanks a lot for your advice about Georgia and Armenia. It only confirm that Globosapiens is full of lovely people, and I can find here help and advices.
I wanted to see this summer three Caucasian republics - Armenia, Azerbijan, Georgia - but I am changing my work now so I don't have so many holidays as I planned previously, it is pity. But still I hope to go there and see some wonderful places. Your advices will help me a lot, thanks again.
And congratulations for your latest voyage - great places, people, photos and adventures :) it is "le gout de la vie"
BTW if you will decide visit one day Warsaw, you have always a host here
Take care
Louis

Hola & Hoi....

As we normally greet by us in a down to earth fashion here in Holland.... :)

TQ for your friendship Jorge, I was in Seville this early January as part of a golf holiday in Albufeira, along the coast of the Algarve. If possible, let me know where you are so I can see how to include your place in our itinerary when we next head for Spain.

Jorge, my Friend...

Nice to hear that you are back home and ready for the next fascinating expedition. Will you stop in Gdansk? Just remember my invitation - the bottle of wine is waiting in the Wojtkowka's cellar. And it will be nice to see you again.
Maybe it will be possible to check on the way in Magadan if they have flights to Alaska -please do!
Does Jose decided to join 7CC? Take care
and happy journey to the Great Traveller!

You are living such a fascinating life; I can't believe that you going away so soon - I'm so jealous. What a journey you have in store for you.

Sweet Chicago!

Jorge,
Thank you for posting the Chicago pictures. I had the excuse to go there last November on business and spent a lovely evening walking along the river with a dear friend who lives in Ohio. Your river photo was a nice reminder to give her a call.

Chicago, for all that it is a big city, always feels so safe to me. Greek town, jazz clubs, the works - all of it is accessible. I need to find another excuse to go back!

Hitch-hiking

Posted: 2008-07-14 07:11 AM
Hi!

Yes, I have hitch-hiked a lot when I was a student. When the Iron Curtain dropped, I embarked on visiting the world. I started by hitching to Paris, Amsterdam, Antwerp, London, Oslo. I did that several times. My record was a ride in one private passenger car (BMW3)from Berlin all the way to Paris. A nice couple gave me the ride. They were going really fast and I was in Paris in less than 8 hours. We stopped a couple of times and they offered me food and drink. That was a great experience.

Sometimes it can be really hard, but in Europe people seem less paranoid about hitch-hikers than in the Americas and Australia. I think.

Anyway, happy hitching and hope you will see all that is in your plans.

Take care,
Krys

Jorge,

What a fantastic journey. I loved your pictures and slideshow, especially you in front Mt Rushmore - way cool.

Thank you ever so much for sharing.

Nice one
Amanda
