Hi thorsten,
I just write the following to Boris, thought you might be interested in the information roo. Tiger's Nest (Taktshang Goemba) sits on a cliff 900 m above the floor of the Paro valley over 3000 m above sea level. The Guru flew to the site on the back of a tigress to meditate in a cave. It was recognized as a holy place and must have been there before 1646. You also can reach it from above. The trail is said to be very steep. A fire destroyed the temple in 1998. To transport the buildingmaterial for the reconstruction a cable was installed on the opposite side. But originally The material had to be brought down from above. I too think only believers could undertake such a task.

YOu always put together some wonderful shots for your slideshows. This is wonderful - my favourite shot is of the sunset; a rich colour mixed in with the darkness.

Thorsten
you are so right about patience. i see also we think alike; your beautiful bird pool photograph has colour and texture similar to our irish light and shade.
thank you for this thought. It is a coincidence that not far from Altamount at Shilelagh there is a pub called Avalon.
And thank you for your most generous rating - it has achieved my most cherished ambition to have a photo rise to page one of the photos at Globo
kind regards
Hugh
