Packing is usually a last minute job for me, but I have started to sort out some of the stuff I want to take as I won't have much time this week to do it.
And yes, I am looking forward to get some autumn sun. Looking at the forecast, it looks like we might be lucky!
I am also looking forward to try out my brand new camera, a Panasonic DMZ-FZ38, which is much lighter than my old Fuji and has quite a lot of extra features and a great tele zoom. I was going to wait to buy a new one until our Africa trip next year, but thought this would be a good opportunity to familiarise myself with it.

I am still at home. Today the fourth torplan arrived. If it is the last one I'll be off 0ctober 3rd and return October24th. I am fine and trying to pack a reasonable suitcase.

I apologise for not acknowledging your previous guestbook message. These days are very busy for me I volunteer for some literacy tutoring, my youngest daughter will marry a Dane on Oct 8th (God Willing) and my elder daughter has just rushed out to Norway where her animated film Granny O'Grimm is entered in the Cartoon Forum. Really life has never been so good.
I love your profile picture with the flowers behind you. Very like the carving on little spirit casks carried by the beautiful maidens with the brass bands at a festival we visited in Anger (between Munich and Saltzburg) in 1998.
