At the entrance to the prison quarters, a gateway with the ubiquitous Arbeit Macht Frei slogan - "work creates freedom". This phrase is uniquely associated with Nazi concentration and extermination camps today, but was actually stolen by the National Socialist party from a novel dating to the 1870's.
