oops... I broke it again...

about small characters:

Andy, the way to do this is use relative size of fonts and let people use their browser option to select the size.

That way we would be able to read it in 50 years, and have the small fonts now.

About the postcard functionality:

yes it lets us choose between 6 photo's. Would it not be more interesting if we would just pic a photo out of all available and send that perticular one?

Cheers,

Maurice

you guys are right with the font sizes. I thought about this myself a while ago. As for now we will stick with this size since it solves more problems than it creates. But thanx for letting me know that there is a demand on increasing it. I will put it inside the "suggestions pot"

Hmm.. I see the problem that this function is not obvious enough. Maybe someone has a good idea on how to make this more intuitive? It is possible to send a postcard from every single picture at globosapiens.net In the horizontal listing of the pictures you have a small letter on the right hand side. Click on this and it will create a postcard for you on the fly! Same for the album. The letter icon is located at the info box on the left.

Feel free to send as many postcards as you like!

and .. how about adding something for adding places not in the current db listing?

I really liked the small Backpackerstown of Airlie beach... but I cannot add a report on that.

Cheers,

Maurice

I see what the dilema. Hmm.. as for now we have to stick with this solution as it brings more advantages than disadvantages. However I see there is an issue and I will think about it what a possible sollution might be.

hey Andy,

Spot the typo: This service has been broght to you by www.globosapiens.net - global travellers network!

Your card service actualy runs pretty cool... my "missing" functionality would be a special page with less info around the card.

Just let the user see nothing more than a card (and off course a link to GS.net...)

As a user you get the impression of being on a page of your website, and I think you would like to give the impression that the user gets a card.

cheerio,

Maurice

Andy, not until I started writing a report did I realise that you had put in place a most incredible photo uploading engine to go along with the reports! It's such a great idea to append the words next to the photographs - it felt almost like a very smooth journey clicking and adding photos to what I had just reported on! Two thumbs up!

I THINK... an on-site instant messaging system would be SO VERY COOOOOL! No? :)

Oh yeah.. you are right. To be honnest, there is already one installed. The point why it is not officially online by now, is that globosapiens.net did start on June 03 2002. Which means that this site is still fairly unknown.

We do have lots off traffic, but not enough visitors at the same time. So think about that there would be 5 people online at the same time (which is what we currently have in average including guests) Those 5 people are bussy uploading images, writing reports or just browse through the member travel sites. It would be a coincidence if they meet at the same time in the chat room.

So a forum is currently the sollution of our choice, since this is a way to communicate asynchron over time. The information keeps stored and might be valueable for people browsing it later on.

As soon as this site will reach the double amount of visitors we have right now the chat will go online.

However, it seems to be an demand for this. So this chat (which is currently a beta) will come up for sure!

How about moving pictures ...?

I have a vast archive of video available on my website. I would not mind uploading some smaller samples to globonet.

Cheers,

Maurice
