Amman is one huge city build on top of numerous mountains (Jebel's) and valleys. The overall archistructure looks everywhere the same. We made camp some 7 K's outside the city at the Theo Schneller Schulle, neigboring a Palestinian stronghold.
Favourite spots:
We didn't spend much time in the city other then stocking up on supplies. The well renowed site of Petra and the Dead sea are both worth a visit.
What's really great:
Petra is truely amazing!! Trying to swim in the Dead sea is also an event not to be missed!
Accommodations:
Camping on the grounds of the Theo Schneller Schulle.
Hangouts:
All the local pubs are fun and great vallue for money.
