Dodanduwa - close to the beach life in Hikkaduwa but far enough to spend a relaxing vacation

About 5 kilometers south of the favourite tourist-village of Hikkaduwa there's a small town called Dodanduwa. You can find nice and affordable guesthouses right at the beach. If want to spend a night on the town can still walk to Hikkaduwa for 30 minutes on the beach or take a tuc-tuc.

- THE DESERTED BEACH! - A vegetarian restaurant halfway between Hikkaduwa and Dodanduwa.
What's really great:
The place we stayed in: The Seaside Inn It's a family-run guesthouse, with a small garden that opens to the wonderful beach.
Sights:
The small temple in downtown Dodanduwa
The harbour with it's small fishing-boats
