No high buildings in this city in the north of Tasmania. It's a quiet place, but has pretty surroundings. Nice hiking and swimming spots. Compared to Hobart, Tasmania's capital, Launceston is a completely different place.
Favourite spots:
The city centre. There is not much to do in Launceston.
What's really great:
When you have just left a busy place like Sydney, Launceston is a quiet oasis.
Sights:
Visit the north and east coast of Tasmania. Beautiful and quiet beaches.
