Just outside the village of Bansha, in the Tipperary region, is Coopers Cottage. It is a beautiful little spot along a narrow lane. The owners live across the street and rent out their cottage most of the year. Three bedrooms, and all the comforts of home.

It was February, and a wee bit cold. I enjoyed testing out the potato soup in various village pubs.

| What's really great: |
|
I loved driving through the small towns and villages and feasting my eyes on the various coloured front doors, sometimes whole buildings. The people were the among the friendliest I have ever met when travelling.
