Just outside the village of Bansha, in the Tipperary region, is Coopers Cottage. It is a beautiful little spot along a narrow lane. The owners live across the street and rent out their cottage most of the year. Three bedrooms, and all the comforts of home.
Favourite spots:
It was February, and a wee bit cold. I enjoyed testing out the potato soup in various village pubs.
What's really great:
I loved driving through the small towns and villages and feasting my eyes on the various coloured front doors, sometimes whole buildings. The people were the among the friendliest I have ever met when travelling.
Sights:
Galway Bay, The Ring of Kerry, the coast.
Accommodations:
Coopers Cottage, Bansha village. Remarkably clean, with everything you might need, including coal, kindling, and firewood.
Hangouts:
The village pub in Bansha, where there was a roaring fire, and lots of guinness.
