All one must do is follow the Freedon Trail, a red line painted on the sidewalk, to discover how proud of its heritage Boston really is. For those with any interest in American literature or the founding of this country, just visit one of the many graveyards found downtown surrounded by bustling traffic. The hub of Massachusetts, established in 1630, Boston became the intellectual centre of the new world, printed the first colonial newspaper, Harvard opened 1635, MIT is a global centre of learning.
