El Mirador Basin Preserve - Guatemala, Petén These two small temples are the first real structures you come across in El Mirador. They are much "Newer", by about 1,500 years, then the rest of this site. Dated to 900AD, they are thought to have housed priests who collected the sacred bundles stored at LaDanta, still 8km away.
