Syria - a bit more
Posted: 2006-12-29 01:22 PM
There's a list of the Syrian cities on the site at http://www.globosapiens.net/country/syria_cities.html
I shouldn't worry too much if the place you want to show doesn't fit too well. just use one of them and give the actual name in your title.
Cheers

Hi Hieronyma
I'm afraid the only thing I can think of is to use some city in Syria that is on the site and then make it clear from your title what you are really sending. However I'll ask Martin [Mortimer] to take a look at your message and he may have a better idea.
Cheers,
David

Christl,
Thanks for your comments on my Rajasthan report. India is wonderful, isn't it! I found the people so charming and the countryside was just facsinating. I hope to go back again in the next couple of years!

Homestay
Posted: 2006-08-13 05:47 PM
Hi Christl,
I went with an organisation called 'Hebei New Times Int'l Education Service'. Through that organisation you can teach in china or live in a homestay family in china.
www.insightchina.cn or www.teachinchina.cn
Originally I was placed in Shijiazhuang, but after one week I was transferred to Innermongolia because the other hostfamily didn't match the organisation standards. I advise you to contact mr Dou (the president) and maybe he can help you with a homestay in Innermongolia. I don't think he'll be able to get you a homestay in Mongolia. As accomodation a homestay though is the best way to really get to know the people and their daily life! Well please let me know your progress!

On the lighter side, I am also reading Bollywood Confidential, by Sonia Singh. Other easy reads include Time, Reader's Digest, and lifestyle mags.
