Hieronyma: She is a bookworm, who is not able to let books alone, she is a traveller who travels not to arrive, she is a knitter, who knits to think things over, she is a hiker who hikes to have nature as a counterpart. Who talks to her?

To answer you questions on my New Delhi report:
Posted: 2007-02-20 06:12 PM
Could you use your creditcard? I could but I didn't want to. I wanted to use cash. I don't like it when they double charge you for exchanging money. The banks were closed, the hotel charges too much and I didn't want ot us a money changer.
Do you rearly want to tell me that for enjoying nightlife you went to see Humayun's tomb? There are no lights after dark in N.D. I believe I wrote I went to bars near the tomb. If not let me know please.

You really had a great time in Iceland, all always wanted to get there, but it is very expensive to fly over here. It was very nice reports, well done I am glad that you enjoyed yourself!
Take care

Christl,
The pictures really enhance your Syria report nicely. I really enjoyed re-reading it! The photo of the Castle through the window is just perfect!
Thanks for suggesting I take a look - it was a joy!

Lonely Lion
Posted: 2006-12-29 03:31 PM
Christl,
Thanks for the explanation! Too bad the companion lion is not standing - yours looks so noble!
I share your enjoyment of solitude - to see places such as this in quiet and peace allows me to feel set back in time. I will often rise very early, or walk in the heat when others have given in, to enjoy something quietly. Sunrise is probably my favorite ~ I have been so fortunate to enjoy sunrise at Machu Picchu, on top of a Mayan Temple in Tikal and most recently at the Taj Mahal, but my favorite is in my own California - Yosemite's Cloud's Rest!
