Grenada

Hi Wojtek,
Thanks for your feedback on my report. The capital city is definitely Saint George's (often abbreviated to St George's), like many post British Caribbean capitals.
The French fought and conquered Grenada from the Caribs circa 1650. The French conquest resulted in the genocide of 17th century Caribs from present-day Grenada. Warfare also existed between the Caribs of present day Dominica and St. Vincent and the Grenadines with the French invaders. The French took control of Camerhogue and named the new French colony La Grenade. La Grenade prospered as a wealthy French colony; its main export was sugar. The French established a capital known as Fort Royal in 1650 as ordered by Cardinal Richelieu. To wait out harsh hurricanes, the French navy would shelter in the capital's natural harbour. No other French colony had a natural harbour to even compare with that of Fort Royal (later renamed St. George's). The colony was ceded to the United Kingdom in 1763 by the Treaty of Paris.

Hello Wojciech,
first I saw some of your wonderful landscapes like
Langa Langa Lagoon which I like very much. Then I have discovered your many portraits of men (especially kids) and animals that are really gorgeous. You are a great artist!

Wojciech, my friend, thanks for your message.
Jose was sick during 2 months. Now is on the road to Prudhoe Bay, in Alaska, and will be back home soon. I will ask him to join your prestigious club. I am sure that he will be glad to join. He will come to Barcelona because we have a travel to do together to Central Europe, with his car, so, who knows; maybe I will convince him to drive to your dacha! That would be great. I will let you now.
Pls, check these links regarding plane service from Alaska to Russia Far East and vice versa

Victoria Falls - ZM vs ZW

Witam!
When I visited (late 2005), it was still possible to cross the bridge in either direction to see the falls from the other side. The authorities were flexible and very friendly, actually. I am not sure how the situation looks now, given the horrific tragedy in Zimbabwe and massive exodus of people. Perhaps it still works well, as the foreign travellers have been largely immune to the political trouble in the region and the authorities kept it cool, unless someone looked like a reporter in Zimbabwe.
The helicopter ride was $85 and I highly recommended despite a serious dent in the budget (I survived three days in Zimbabwe on less than that, then).
I am not sure what activities are organised on the Zim side. I doubt there are many. Already two years ago, the majority of tours were being handled from Zambia. I met many people, including white entrepreneurs, who lost their businesses in Vic Falls and tried to rebuilt their stuff in Livingstone.
Are you back from Canada, yet?
Pozdr
