Hi liz,
I am from Delhi , which is capital city.Taj Mahal is just one and half hour ride from my place.
Nice to know that you like indian movies. A few of indian movies are really good. like mira nair's mansoon wedding , bombay etc. then there was movie 'lagaan', which made it to last round of oscar last year.

Hey Liz, thanks for the entries on my guestbook as well as the compliments on Geppetto Workshop. All pictures on the site do indeed belong to me, but most were taken during the pre-10D days... they were taken with my Canon G2. With my new D10, I most frequently use the 24-80, which is a very versatile lens. Speaking of the site, it is actually undergoing major renovations! After my trip to Europe in Dec/Jan, I will be back here for my last semester at school, during which I will revamp the Workshop and present many more pictures! I went to your site and am sure that I will be spending quite some time there!! Merry Christmas!

Traveling to Peru
Posted: 2003-12-08 01:58 PM
Hi Liz,
South America was a new experience for me. I went with long time back packing friend, and left husband and children home. We spent two weeks: 3 days in Cusco, getting used to altitude;4 days on the Inka trail, an extra day @ Machu Picchu, then returned to Cusco and off to Puerto Maldonado. We spent 5 days at a conservation lodge on the Rio Tambopata, and then to Lima. We took older clothes, which we left there. The best thing we probably did was to hire a driver in Lima. We had been told it was unsafe, and we certainly felt that way once we got there. Having a driver allowed us to see as much as possible in a very short amount of time, and it was well worth the $230 fee.
Hiking the Inka trail was a life long dream, and it was spectacular. I am 46 and my friend was 49. We both walk daily, but neither of us are workout warriors, and the trail was challenging, but not overly so. DO HAVE A PORTER carry your gear. It's cheap. I would be happy to answer any questions ~ Eire

London

Thank you for signing my guestbook. I love London!!! It so good that most museums are free. The Tate Modern is one of my favourites and also the millennium bridge in front of it. It is very elegant and I took lots and lots of pictures all from different angles.
Yesterday I was in Rotterdam and even though it was a dull day there were some very good picture opportunities. Today I spent most of the day sorting them out.
regards
Marianne
