Hi,
no, the picture od the King of Bhutan was hanging on a wall in a temple. - Thank you for your explanation. There are several possible explanations for this fact that the man was wearing doc martins. The educational system in Bhutan is still in development. Therefore a lot of people have to go out of the country to get higher education. It might be that he brought them back from another country.

Dear Tara ...you are quite right that the story is more important and I like the resulting flow of the report but a report with errors is like a photograph with spots on it or out of focus. I still like your **** report, far better than my attempts at reporting :-)

No, I couldn't speak with him. He was so self-confident, that he caught my attention. I would have liked to know what he thought of me.

Hi Tara. Thanks very much for the comment on my report. No, I didn't actually do any diving in Panglao. I'd had a horse riding accident the week before that turned my leg into ground beef -- The doctor told me not to go into the water with it, so diving was off the list of things to do. I did speak to quite a few, however. And although it sounds like there's lots of beautiful fish and so on to see, and the reefs are pretty nice, there's nothing bigger than a barracuda to rub shoulders with. If...or rather when I go back, I'm going to Leite to dive with the whale sharks -- and anywhere I can find a manta ray. Still, it's a cool place to be whether you're diving or not.
Thanks again :) And have a great weekend,
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Tara,
Thanks for commenting on my photo from Malta! Yes, if you like diving you should definitely come to Malta. I have to admit that I do not dive myself, but I have heard many people saying that the diving in Malta is very good.

Hi Tara
Just a word of thanks for those terrific pictures.
Only the length of the flight gives me doubt about whether I shall ever reach New Zealand. If I do, I hope your offer to Lila isn't an exclusive!
Cheers

I'm too big for me for you to pick up!!! That's a joke.
I will contact you if and when I do go. Right now my next trip will be South Korea again. I want to meet my new "daughter".

Tara,
Thanks for all your answers to my questions. The tallest residential building is almost as tall as Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, but that is not residential.
