Hey Boris.
Thanks eversomuch for your comments. I would have never dreamed I would have seen Machu Picchu a few years ago, but now I feel touched and count myself as one of the lucky few.
All the best

Sunset

Hi Boris
Thanks for noticing my "amethyst" sunset pics. Yes, something seems wrong with them. Ive changed the names from "Sunset" to "Sun Setting", the sun still being about 10° over the horizon. The approaching cold front and black clouds from the left made the colours really spectacular. Sunsets are progressively yellow then orange then red!
Regards, Rudi

Thank you so much Boris
It's very kind of you to respond so quickly to the problem I am facing with lengthy uploading. Iam trying this utility software right away and I will give you my first impressions. I 'd like to prepare all the February pic uploading with it.
Cheers.

Slides

Thank you Boris
As you said I have just to wait another two weeks to be able to upload further pics and complementing some of the slide shows already produced. In the meantime I have time to indulge in other activities on Globo. Don't you think it takes a long time to downsample photos to the globo size (< 500 pix)? I find it difficult because in order to get the maximum size (the closest to 499 pixels), you have to proceed by trials and errors in the downsizing process. If you straightaway use the jpeg size-setting window, you do not get the proper result. For example, suppose you have a 600 pixel picture. You decide to save this image while reducing its quality. The only thing you can do is moving down the cursor from 12 (maximum quality) to 11 or 10 or a lower value. The problem I face is that each time I proceed this way, the quality of my photo suddenly drops from 600 to 350 pixels when just sliding down the cursor by one notch.
Do you have a solution Boris? Thanks
Bert

New Caledonia slide show

Dear Boris,
Thank you very much.
As I have reached the maximum uploadable amount of pics for January, the only thing I can do is making up new slide shows. In February I will add photos to the various slide shows already existing. And I also will have more time to browse through the thousands og Globo pictures.
Cheers.

Boris, I liked your slide show. There are alway shots we like more, and for me the powerful waterfall was a great picture.
