Ukraine is on my list of places to see/go. And now I have a name of the city where you come from including some history. :-)
I was surprised myself of the large amount of ceramic tiles. Our guide book didnt mention it, nor did the compressed history of Porto I read before leaving. I was very pleasant to discover though.
So, where are you planning to visit in Europe?

Hi Boris,

The nice thing about winning something on GLOBO are the wonderful congratulatory messages in my guestbook - everyone is so friendly, helpful and courteous. That alone makes all our efforts worthwhile!

I am delighted to have won the album of the month with that particular Sri Lankan Anthropology Slide Show, particularly after all our debates about people in pictures in the forums. People do tell us a lot about their countries.

Again, thank you for your kind words support and more importantly for your own contribution to GLOBO.

Dear Boris,

I'm glad my slideshow has inspired you to visit Seattle... I'm sure you won't be disappointed! Yes, it's true we don't get quite as dazzling a display of fall color here in the S.F. Bay area, but even so I'm still seeing some delightful trees ablaze in reds, oranges and yellows here and there. Nice to see you are in San Francisco... perhaps we will meet someday while walking our dogs!

Bonjour Boris,
I love the cobblestone streets too.. And I find that in every different Europeen country, it seems that the cobblestones are different. Did you find that too?

Hello once again to you Boris,

Indeed your idea is brilliant.
I had a most interesting correspondence with Martin about the Holi Festival that is clearly full of colour, celebration and joy.
The talk drew in other people and I learned a great deal.

In Ireland we have all sorts of festivals, in small local groups - Oysters, Rose of Tralee, Opera in Wexford, Jazz in Cork, even a festival based on a famine ship in New Ross, The Orange Parades in Belfast and of course St. Patrick's Day.

I do not know enough about the Globo community to start a thread in forum.
Perhaps you can help.

Also I only yesterday noticed a mail you sent to my post box on Novemebr 10th. Thank youu for that and I must learn how to use the post box system.
