Thanks

Hi Boris,
Thanks for taking a look at my few photos of the Columbia River Gorge Hotel. The Columbia River Gorge, between Oregon and Washington, is one of the most beautiful parts of the Northwest. The hotel is small and quaint and very nice. I am sure you will enjoy your visit. There are many waterfalls and hiking trails along the gorge, between Crown Point and Bonneville Dam, on the Oregon side. Oneanta Gorge and Multnomah Falls are my favorites. Be sure to have a car available.
I hope you will have some time to visit Portland while you are in the area. It's a very nice city.

Nice to read from you again. Of course next time we go to the San Francisco region, I'll let you know and feel free to contact me if you happen to come to Tahiti some time. I think that there are magnificent sunsets and sunrises all over the world; the point is to be there at the right moment. You may not know beforehand if a sky will grow red or not. If you want to attend the show you must be prepared a good fifteen minutes before it starts, if it does.
Best wishes to you and family at the turn of 2005.

Bridges
Posted: 2004-12-30 06:58 AM
Hi Picasso,
If I remember, you live in california, so you know all these places and bridges. You are right when saying that ponte de 25 de Abril reminds of Golden Gate and its colors. I am going to upload some pictures of the Golden Gate I made in the same trip in last July. I am going to choose one of the most suggestive. I am attracted by bridges. I long for going to France and making photos of the Pont de Millau which has just been inaugurated.
I saw you inthe SUV; do not tell the police, I made the shots on Bay Bridge myself, neither my wife nor my daughter proposed to make the shots and I had to make them while driving.
Happy New Year to you and family.

I don't remember if I replied to your nice welcome words.
You are a California resident and I am preparing to upload lots of the pics I shot in last July when we travelled from Los Angeles to San Francisco via Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, San Simeon, Monterey, this so nice coastal route we drive along each time we go from L.A. to S.F.
Kind regards

Table Mountain - Thanks Boris
Posted: 2004-12-24 02:57 AM
Hi Boris,
Thank you so much for reading my report on Table Mountain Cape Town. This article was written purely to try and give momentum to Andy’s plea to use the new mountain database. I hope the incentive motivates everybody else to enter the competition.
It is an article that I felt uncomfortable about writing because I did not have enough photographs of Cape Town and its environs to illustrate it as I would wish. So I am quite embarrassed but appreciate your very high rating and again thank you for it!
We stayed with family in Cape Town and most of the photo’s I took last year in my short visit are personal reminders of that visit. I try not to include myself or family in published pictures – but was really stuck this time and had to break the rule! Hence the picture outside that memorable restaurant “Le Petite Ferme”.
Thank you for taking the trouble to leave your comments and sign my page it does mean a lot to me. Finally as it is Christmas Eve, I do take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very Happy Christmas.
Christmas Cheers! Brit.

Autumn Clouds
Posted: 2004-12-20 04:31 AM
Thanks for commenting on my "Autumn Clouds". The print is quite old (1983), only 5x4inches, and I had to remove scratches, therefore the soft effect. My scanner does funny things to skies and specially clouds anyway. Similar effect, even a better picture is:

truelly a masterpiece, like painted.
