Hi folks, I became an early pensioner in 2015 and now have a 50m² apartment in München-Laim with sunny balcony. This is the first time in my life that I am living alone. Now enjoy my hobbies!

Auf Wieder Sehen Rudi!

I have just written my last report in Globo. Within a few weeks I will travel to the Indian Ocean to board a scientific ship to the French Antarctic Islands (Crozet, Kerguelen, Saint Paul, etc).
If you come to Barcelona, please, contact me through Globo e-mail. I will invite you to eat paella with seafood and drink good Rioja wine (I also invited David).
Hasta la vista

Hello Rudi, thanks for writing me and your help with my text. You are my best “customer”.
Yes, I have noted that I have made some grammatical mistakes in my Harper text, like “heroe” instead of hero, etc (heroe is in spanish!). No problem, I am lazy about the idea of going back to that text and amend the blunders. I write fast, I do not pretend to write English perfectly and I am not participating in a literature contest for entering in the University of Oxford. But if you find more serious mistakes, I would appreciate if you would advise me of them.
The last 5 or 6 years I only speak Russian as foreign language (I travel to Siberia every year, for Christmas, the girl of the picture in the Novosibirsk chapter is my daughter) and I am losing my English.
Thanks again and regards
Jorge

Down but not out...

You know you are so right, bad things happen; but already we are getting back to normal. We think about the people who were hurt and killed, but we have to go on...

Rudi,
Thanks for reading and rating my report.
I wanted to enhance the visibility of Vienna on Globo; at least now there is one report.
Regards

Black and White
Posted: 2005-07-02 01:50 PM
Bonjour Rudi,
I prefer black and white pictures myself. I will set myself a black room at our home soon, therefore I'll be able to develop the black and white here, instead of using a digital camera for black and white/sepia and color.
I prefer using a SLR for photography. There's more challenge to it. It is also more an art that way too. As for 'photography' contests, black and white are better viewed by judges. Maybe more people will be interested in B&W if they see more of it.
Talk to you soon
