I notice that a very low rating has been given to this picture which in my view is important as part of the very interesting record you are presenting of your journey.

Please keep on delivering such views even if the encouragement is not forthcoming from everyone.

I have imposed a non-rating discipline on myself due to some errors of which i have recently been found guilty.

If i were rating it i would give **** stars

i just saw some of ur pictures and they are excellent
There is a (i)rregula-r ship from Korsakov to the Kuril islands. The planes are often cancelled because of the lack of visibility is excellent

Hi Jorge,
I am more or less back here at Globo after a self imposed break. I was away due to work etc and am glad to say that I 've started spending time again here at Globo. What fascinates me is your report section here. Its a super achievement to have so many good reports done one after another as though you were churning them out from a high tech factory! I am planning to go through all of them in the near future. I congratulate you, wish you well and hope to see you here in "God's Own Country" one day.

Espero que tendré la oportunidad de llevarte a Tautira a ver esta tumba de Boenechea. A este respecto quisiera informarte que hace algunos años me pidieron traducir al francés el diario de Máximo Rodríguez, un soldado de Lima que fue mandado a Tahiti para servir como intérprete de los misioneros españoles. Escribió este diario del 15 de noviembre de 1774 al 12 de noviembre de 1775 antes de regresar a Lima. En su diario habla de James Cook y de la lucha de influencia que tuvieron tanto los ingleses como los españoles para con los Polinesios.

Mi traducción fue publicada en la Revue des Océanistes. Te daré las referencias exactas, pero si necesitas el texto original o mi traducción, te las puedo enviar por email.

Je suis ravi d'apprendre qu'un nouveau membre de Globosapiens vient faire un tour en Polynésie. Si tu t'inscris à une excursion, peut-être feras-tu partie du groupe que j'emmènerai en car (Je suis aussi guide free lance), encore que, si je ne me trompe, le 20 février est un lundi et que ce jour et le lendemain, je serai au lycée. Dommage, car nous serons en vacances le vendredi suivant!!! En tout cas, tu seras le premier homo globoapiensis que j'aurai le plaisir d'accueillir chez moi à Tahiti.
