Hi Tony,
thanks for your MoM congrats but I fear it isn't a very positive signal for Globo that I (with my insignificant contribution) have got this prize... As for the profile pic: Andy sent me a message that my profile pic would 'usually disqualify' me for MoM. I'll try to refind the previous one. ;-)

thanks for visiting the beginning of dresden and the hauptstrasse. you may remember that dresden was more than 90% destroyed and flattened by carpet bombing in WWII. The Procession of Princes was miraculously undamaged but everything was flattened. all these stones and everything else is of recent construction, which is really amazing.
the churches, the semper opera, palaces, everything reconstructed - my page on the other site is titled " up from the ashes ". the neustadt was not as badly destroyed as the rest of the town but i presume badly enough.
