Berlin - Germany, Berlin The Old Master's Gallery in Berlin is one of the stars of the Kulturform district and a world class venue. Prussian kings began exhibiting their artwork as early as the 1830's, with the final collection housed in a modern ( rather undistinguished exterior ) after WWII, during which over 400 major works were lost. There are 72 rooms with over 1000 works, a walk 2 km+ to visit all of them.
The list of masters represented includes just about everyone, the highlight a 6-sided room with 16 Rembrandts. Here, his " Abduction of Proserpina ", a personal favorite.
