Puppets and Marionettes's by siffer

Prague - Czech Republic, Hlavni Mesto Praha Puppets and marionettes ( 27+ inch puppets ) have played an integral role in Czech history, maintaining a prominent role in keeping language and culture alive during the various occupations in the country's history and especially during the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The Nazi regime did their best to stamp out the puppeteers but after the war theatres and travelling troupes again surfaced. There are several puppet stores in the Old Town, from the expensive Pinocchio to cheaper stores lining Celetna' Street where this picture was obtained.
