just a tip for anyone wanting to book a car rental in central amsterdam. You will need acess to the internet though. As far as I know this is a new service or location because last year I tried to find a car rental company downtown and couldn't.

I must admit to being impressed recently during the volcanic ash disaster in Europe. I booked online instantly a Car Hire at Amsterdams central Station. Booked at 08:40 collected car at 09:00 hrs (http://www.tipoa.com) cool service as far as I can see.

The Rijksmuseum museum is worth a visit but at the moment it is undergoing a big rebuilding program, due to re-open I understand in 2012.
