Although known mainly as a spring break resort, Cancun offers beautiful beaches, great nightclubs, and wonderful ruins to pick anyone's interests. Everything is accessible by the city's safe (very cheap at $0.50 ea. way) and quick bus service making it very convenient to leave the hotel zone and check out the city's markets and restaurants.

Favourite spots: |
Playa Norte at Isla Mujeres has a yet undeveloped beach that is beautiful and open to both locals and tourists. The Hard Rock Cafe in the hotel zone has a great band Los Paranoias. Even if you're not into the club scene, check out Coco Bongo's, (it's right across from the Hard Rock) they truly go all out to entertain. Plaza Bonita in Downtown Cancun. Roots Jazz club in downtown Cancun, and of course, Pericos has delicious food and a crazy bunch of fun-loving waiters!!

What's really great: |
The beaches are gorgeous, the people are friendly, and the food is delicious!! You can laze around in the beach resorts, or head down to the city (a ten minute bus ride) at any time of the day or night. It is one of the safest, and cleanest cities I have visited.
