Some of the best scuba diving in the Northern Hemisphere can be found around the island of Cozumel. I went to the island to visit with one of my former students, then took advantage of the opportunity to get some diving experience. Cozumel has very little beach areaa, but the reef comes almost to the shore on all sides. This is the perfect area to either dive or snorkel.

Hey russ, I would have to agree with you that Cozumel is truly one of the greatest spots to dive. My family and I went down there in the mid-90's, and wow, it was a blast. We dove down to depths of 110 ft. where the marine life was abundant, and the corals were spectacular. Two years later we went to Hawaii, and cozumel is far more colorful, warm, and overall cheaper on the budget to travel. Your report is nice, although a little sparce when it comes to describing the amazing beauty under the sea. |
