Hampton travelogue picture
Hampton is small, yet the few thousand people who live here are welcoming and helpful. Within a only few years this town will surely develop into a city. Already Hampton host many facilities and have their own tourist bureau. Hampton is built by a river and is a great place to relax and soak into the slow pace of life by the river.

Favourite spots:

Hampton host a small yet interesting nature park. It has short hiking trails, which takes you through a small forest and to the Hampton river. A roofed deck is available for a quick picnic. It`s also a great place to watch and admire the beaver dam, `a real one`built amid the river. You`ll have the chance to explore, if you bring binoculors, the wildlife and flora that grows in the clean swamp.

What's really great:

Hampton has a small town look with a friendly atmosphere. The town center consist of barely a dozen buildings. Yet you experience clean and proud edifices. Surprisingly enough, many buildings are actually part of the New Brunswich Heritage. The houses along the river, which are of a breathtaking view, were mostly built within the Victorian era, which gives the town a charming setting.

Accommodations:
The closest accomodations are either in Sussex or in Saint John. Where you can either camp or stay in the numerous hotels.

Other recommendations:

There are many antique shops here. You`ll have to follow the numerous signs indicating them. They are worth it, and you`ll find many exciting finds for less than in larger communities.
