As all towns in Holland there are many terraces in the city centre in summer. But Nijmegen as an extremely large amount of terrace-chairs compared to other places. On a nice summer afternoon, it's a great way to spend your time watching other people walk by.

Other recommendations: |
Every year in the third week of July the biggest marching event of the world takes place in Nijmegen. Soldiers and civilians from all over the world travel to Nijmegen to walk the Four Day Marches. But this event is not all about walking. For seven days and nights the city centre turns into one big party place! Famous Dutch bands perform all around town. Outdoors and for free. It's one crazy week and defenitely worth the experience.
