Half Dome Gloves!'s by eirekay

Yosemite National Park - United States, California It has become almost a ceremony to toss your spent gloves in the pile at the base of the Half Dome Cables. The pile grows throughout the day. Forgot gloves? Look for the best kept pair. the cables will shred your hands without. I've been up 6 times and my preference is for gardening gloves with rubber bumps on the palm. If you look off the the right hand side as you climb up the cables, there is a crevice about 50 meters down that house a graveyard of cell phones, cameras and Ipods that have fallen off climbers on their way up (or down).
