This is a really traditional old English pub; the comes from the ship that took the founding father's to America way back in 1620. Thery have maintained its original Tudor-like decor and is small with a lot of old wood features. It stands on the site of the Shippe pub that dates back to around 1550. It was renamed as The Mayflower in 1957 and it was the nearby landing steps to this pub that the Pilgrim Fathers set sail well via plymouth
