Thanks for the above info Jesusferro. The poles are a wish for a lot of us on the long term. Perhaps one day the prices will come down. Imagine "VirginAntarctic", somebody should contact Mr. Branson, or we earn/save more money? Space is another thing he is workingon for us.....

:-) RR

Staff: Why is there a forum for every continent except Antarctica. Also, it is also not even on the GLOBOmap yet!

You are right Rudi !

I remember when I joined Globosapiens that wanted to read about Argentinean Antarctica and could not find it. Finally I thought about Argentina as a trampoline to get there and found Globo Polish member Wojtekd very good report about Antarctica called "Ushuaia" (Ushuaia is our town in the island Tierra del Fuego).

In the South of our country we have a province called “Tierra del Fuego, Antartida e Islas del Atlantico Sur”, which comprises Georgias del Sur, Sandwich del Sur, Orcadas, Shetlands and Islas Malvinas).

So I can imagine the difficulties of the new Globo members looking for Antarctica.

Long time ago you could travel to our Argentinean many bases in Antarctica from Buenos Aires with the army, even for free, but after the Malvinas war in 1982, the Argentinean Navy does not accept passengers.

By your guidance, the first human being born in Antarctica was the Argentinian Emilio Palma, the 7 January 1978.

I was born in Argentina but live in Spain

There are so many places I want to go too. Singapore Airlines have just started a new route to Moscow and the fare is SIN $888. Seems like a very good bargain and I might want this dream to come true. Perhaps in June / July 06??
