Greetings

Christian,
I deleted the posting because I decided I was being whiny. I never want to discourage any one from posting but I have suffered the frustration of having someone post hoards of pics more than once. Personally I find that limiting myself to a certain number forces me to edit and chose carefully what I do post.

I hope you enjoyed Mountain View - that is so close to San Jose! Next time give me a shout and we can enjoy dinner!

Big Sur has been hit hard by the fires, as have a number of other areas. I keep reminding myself that these are naturally occurring and a part of nature, but I love California's wilderness. As much as I enjoy other places, I still love to hike these mountains the most! Guess I am just a California girl.

Greeting back at you! It was nice to see you online today!

Perfect beach

Posted: 2008-06-26 08:28 PM
Hallo Christian,

I spent more than an afternoon at that beach!

We stayed in Tulum for a week, had a cabana right on the beach and just took it easy.

I don't usually go for beach holidays, but I was in need of some relaxation after a stressful year and this was perfect - no phones, no television, no computers. And I wanted some sunshine - England had a miserable summer last year. It did take some time to get used to the heat, I normally only get that on the London Underground! ;-)

We did go on some day trips though and when the week was up we travelled on to Chichen Itza, Valladolid and Isla Mujeres.

It was a great!

All the best,
tschuess

You'll have a great time..

Hey Christian,

Thanks for reading my report on New York. It is really a cool place to visit but I haven’t been there in the last few years; hence the information is a little sketchy.

This is a different trip than my other destinations as I tend to stay with family and friends so I can't comment on the hotel situation this time.

But definitely Junior’s is worth a visit!

Happy travelling

Koblenz etc

Hi Christian
Thanks for your comment on my report. Although I have good, if vague, memories of Koblenz, I do agree that it's those valleys with their hills, villages, castles and vineyards that took me back for further visits.
It's a good co-incidence that a beautiful photo of the Mosel valley appears on your profile page today. I shall look forward to that report!
Cheers

Great Photographs!

Hi Christian,
I was in New Zealand for 2 weeks in April 2007. It was beginning to get cold & rainy. Then I got sick & did not get a chance to really explore New Zealand; however, thanks to your beautiful photographs I am able to enjoy the wonders of New Zealand.

You truly got an eye for the camera.

best regards,
zellah

Hurrah Christian! PoM

I love your picture for the lighting up on the underside of this arch (not only a silhouette) but mostly the waves across the sand which are like a rugby game being played between waves coming in and the backwash returning. This effect I watched often and there is no picture than yours, that I know, that shows it better! Well done!

Truly deserved:)

Congratulations on winning PoM:) I wouldn't choose a better one myself - the photo is really amazing and somehow symbolizes holidays well - careless, laid back, romantic, full of amazing views like the one captured by you. This one could make a perfect postcard or wallpaper. You should print it and hang it on your wall perhaps. Well done:)
