Christian,
I was delighted to see you photo chosen for PoM! It is a perfect choice - your whole series has been wonderful to view!

You posted excellent photos lately so there is no suprise taht you won POM. Maybe that photo wasn't my favourites (see my discussion with Rudi and David), but the winning photo is also perfect.
I have to concur with Eire, I really liked the pictures you've recently uploaded of New Zealand. It is only fitting that you get POM, it's well deserved.

Christian,
I had a chance today to look at the pictures you posted this weekend - it was a real treat. You some really beautiful work, nicely composed and wonderfully conceived. It was a pleasure to spend my lunch looking at them!

Hi Christian,
... that is exactly why some members feel robbed of stars when presenting their personal favourite photographic gems! A photograph can never capture the mood and true atmosphere of an event and is seen differently by others. Yours does quite some by it's bright colours, depth and uniqueness which bring out that certain special "mood".

Oh, your title is very long too :-)
I love Amanda's "mood" (with long title too) at:

P.S: 4am? Currently no "Nervensäge" neither "Geschäftsleiter" to force me to bed! Planning new trips.

Christian,
Thanks for your kind words. The west of Ireland is simply beautiful. We were lucky withthe weather, sun every single day. I know from experience that it is not always like this.

Dear Christian,
I very much appreciate your nice note.
As I came to your site to write this I had a look at your pictures.
The sunsets are very evocative particularly the alasks photo.
The Kalamaki island has a profile very like the Skellig Mhichil island off our own Kerry coast
kind regards
hugh

Christian,
Thanks for looking at my Riga pictures. You might like to go there yourself, you don't live that far away from the baltic states. By the way Air Berlin has daily flights to Riga.

Very interesting that the first person to enter in my guestbook is someone from Germany. I am also from there. Flensburg S-H. This was my first trip to Alaska. I enjoyed it a lot and I will post a few more pictures later.
