aber eigentlich wollte ich dir und deiner familie nur ein paar ruhige feiertage und einen guten rutsch ins neue jahr wünschen!
beste grüße aus HH, thorsten.

Martin,
The photos are beautiful, especially the photo of Alani and Mia. Mia looks absolutely delighted and protects Alani. I am sure they will be great playmates, and probably already are. (It is also technically a perfect photo).
Of the 'wachphase' series I like the first one best.
(Let me know when you add more photos to the blog, I love to see them)
Your info about Switzerland was useful. I found out about half fare cards and their price. I booked our flight to Bergamo and haven't planned much else yet. The first night we will be in Milan and then take a train to maybe Interlaken, but we don't know yet. For the time being there is NO snow. I suppose this will be different in January.

Congratulations! Best Kid-of-the-Month goes to your newborn Alani, beautiful picture and use of your "travel log" (blog)! :-) I hope that this doesn't limit your travelling more but if you continue like this you will need a VW-minibus to tour!
Uncle Rangutan

Martin,
Alani is beautiful. You must be the happiest man in Switzerland. What does Mia think of her sister?
Will you post a photo of her and her Alani on your blog. What a shame that a home delivery was not possible, on the other hand it feels very safe when the baby is born in hospital.
I like this photo best:

Martin,
your daughter is just beautiful. As a mother of four, I can assure you that children are the best adventure. Just wait - mine start back packing at 6 (they carry their cloths and bag on the first trip) and work up from there. They are my favorite travel companions! Mine are on a rotating schedule - every year one of them get to choose where that child gets to go with me. They make the best choices!
You have a road ahead; a wonderful road full of amazing visions. Children change how you see thw world in all the best ways!
