... for rating + commenting my pictures, Jill! You are right, the blue skies are always a lucky break; and sometimes (more or less) lucky Photoshop...

Enjoy your sunday!

Hi Jill,
thank you for your welcome. Yes, it has been a wonderful journey. I felt safe and well received. Nature is beautiful out there. I saw the Nanga Parbat and the Rakaposhi, drove the Karakorum Highway up North to the Pakisan-China border. I even walked a bit into China.
I am working on my slides, that will take a while, but then I will show some of them.
I just remembered that i once in my life habve been in Charleston where I visited the mayor.
Take care.

Malagasy baobabs

Posted: 2008-11-13 01:22 AM
Hi Jill,

Don't the adasonia grandieri (the species of baobabs) look great in the setting sun? You know that there are approximately 33 species of baobab tree on our planet and only one of them can be found on the mainland Africa. The rest are on Madagascar and only there :) Some of them look like bottles. Their skin changes colour during the day. I miss the island. I really would like to go there again.

Thanks for the comments.

Kindest regards
Krys

Hey Jill,

congratulations for winning POM. I salute, now that I finally noticed that you did it again (and it is really a great picture!).
