Darwin is a small city (population about 67,000) but it has all the things that big cities have, just much more cute. Darwin has a soul (a very warm one!) and it an absolutely beautiful city. I has a remote feeling which is great, but the locals absolutely love living there.
Favourite spots:
Mindil markets - at sunset on Mindil Beach The Esplanade - along the coastal side of the city The groovy little back street takeaway places
What's really great:
The temperature and the weather! Temperature never below 22 degrees C and totally dry (it was the dry season when I was there) and 32 degrees C during the day - absolutely amazing!
