It was in the middle of August and heat being a bit unbearable, so we went to the northernmost town which there was a bus to. Ended in Györ and knew absolutely nothing about it, strolled for two days, and don't really know a lot more by now.
Favourite spots:
Small island in the river right off the town centre, with nice park, and the very lively market place area.
What's really great:
That there wasn't another tourist in sight, and people were really friendly.
Accommodations:
From the bus station, cross the railtracks in front of you and there's a 1 star extremely cheap hotel. It's pretty noisy (sounded like half the Russian mafia had moved in, with vodka and hookers in plentiful), but price decides.
Restaurants:
Market area at nigh has loads of nice restaurants in any price class - beware of mosquitoes in summer.
