The city has 6.362 inhabitants plus some 1,000 tourists visiting for sports (windsurfing mainly). Hood River is situated directly at the Columbia River which belongs to the Cascade Range here.

Go and get yourself a Yamaha WaveRunner (rental company directly under the toll bridge). Go and sit at a cozy restaurant in Downtown. Go and check trails at Mount Hood (where you can go skiing year round). Spend a night at the Columbia Gorge Hotel (I-84 E).

| Matthias, Columbia Gorge is one of my favorite places on earth! I have hiked Multnomah Falls 6 times. It would be great to see some pictures in this report and more on the natural beauty of this area! |
