A laid-back place in the north-west of Argentina, a starting point to visit las Cataratas del Iguazu (the Iguazu Waterfalls). Just a short drive off from Foz do Iguazu on the Brazilian side. Puerto Iguazu is in Misiones Province. Its main attraction are the waterfalls. The climate is always very hot and humid. You can reach Puerto Iguazu by plane or bus.
Favourite spots:
the national park, Guira Oga bird sanctuary, the ruins of San Ignacio (unfortunatelly, missed them :( )
What's really great:
the nature, the people, the feeling of being far from any stress
Sights:
the confluence of Iguazu and Parana, a meeting point between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay
Your pictures of the falls (especially the one under 'Sights') are absolutely gorgeous! I've wanted to visit Iguazu for years now, and these pictures make me wish to visit even more. :)
