Back again in Vancouver, a town I love. Blue sky, fresh wind, and sun is shining. People are friendly and smiling. What a treat in comparison to my homeland. But the town has changed. Highrises are marching like soldiers towards the inner town. No, that I do not like. The YWCA is as good as ever.

Today is my last day in the Federal Republic. I am longing to see Vancouver again and - specially - Mayne Island and all my friends.

Yesterday I walked the town from Beatty Str. along Georgia Str., where you find the Public Library, where you can chec k your email without paying a fee, opposite is the Post Office, a little down the street on the right side you find a Bank of Montreal. Further down the Vancouver Art Gallery has an exhibition of Rodin's work, and then I turned into Burrard Str. to finally reach the waterfront and Canada Place to enjoy the view onto North and West Vancouver and the Harbour. But that wasn't enough. I wanted to do the seawalk around Stanley Park. It is a treat. But to see all the new highrises along the waterfront was threatening. The town has grown fast and smells of money.
